A rumour has come in from Damien Thompson's blog Holy Smoke that the Holy Father is displeased by the fact that not a single bishop of England and Wales attended the pontifical mass of Cardinal Hoyos in Westminster Cathedral. Whether this is true or not is debatable, but their conspicuous absence speaks nevertheless speaks volumes, particularly considering the reception they gave to Archbishop Piero Marini.
