Homophobic hate crime laws

In the coming week or so a group of MP’s from all parties will try to introduce an amendment to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill in order to protect the rights of religious groups against new ‘gay hate crime’ legislation. Let us hope that they succeed, for if they do not sooner or later it may well be the case that it will be a crime to uphold the church’s teaching on homosexual acts. Who knows, in the future I could be prosecuted for writing an article like this?

It seems that proposed ‘Hate Crime’ legislation is motivated by the premise that homosexual status, lifestyle or whatever that you like to call it is sacred and holy. There are wide debates on whether homosexuality is the result of free choice or is an intrinsic genetic state of being. But that is neither here nor there. It is a sacred choice, and/or a sacred state so holy that to speak out against it is blasphemy and sacrilege, deserving the full punishment of the law. To be gay is to celebrate the ‘beauty’ of diversity, and Gay Pride marches are increasing becoming official quasi - religious festivals celebrated with full solemnity.

The definition of hate crime seems to be a very fluid notion depending on the caprice of whoever interprets it, and as far as I know has no precedence in English law. It could allow for the possibility that Islam can uphold its teaching, but not the Catholic Church. For what acts constitute hate? They could be anything from physical assault and saying ‘You are a pervert’ to merely believing that homosexuality is an objective moral disorder. This chillingly resembles the great sin of ‘Thought Crime’ in George Orwell’s 1984! And as in 1984 this was punished by the Thought Police, so in every police force around England, homophobic hate crime units are now being set up. To go after who, I wonder?

The gay rights lobby is extremely militant, violently pro - abortion, pro - cloning and pro - euthanasia, and is clearly after the blood of the Catholic Church. It could well be that any rise of persecution against the faith may start from them. As for me, I shall now pull the tiger’s tail and shall place a painting below that is sacrilegious and blasphemous to the ‘holy’ state of the homosexual: the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah!

Aparently some 'gays' call people like me 'breeders'! Is that a hate crime? Don't think so!

What are you playing at ?
Have you actually read what you said ?
Second chance dude...think about it !
You're forgetting who they are and why something is good and why something is very wrong !
We can only fight with truth - - the person of Christ -everything else fails - we cannot play on their terms - we always lose - we have scruples which they don't possess. We are fighting for their souls - not against them.
Stop.
Re-read.
and THINK!!!!

What is unnatural in itself is perfectly natural for some people. That's Thomist logic.
